Reflection on Feedback:
My peers gave me a lot of great compliments and feedback on my second elevator pitch. What stood out as most important was that I should give myself some more space between me and the camera so that the crowd can see my hand gestures clearly. I am glad that my peers thought that I came off strong and confident with my pitch because the first time I sounded pretty nervous when I talked. Everyone who gave me feedback was very nice and told me that my speech sounded convincing and was better than the first time.
What I changed:
This third time came a lot easier for me than the last two. I am way more comfortable in front of the camera than I was at the beginning of this semester. I am glad that I got this opportunity to practice speaking confidently in front of a webcam and getting ore comfortable with speeches. The one thing I did change for this time was standing farther away from the camera so that my hand gestures could be seen clearly for the viewers. I think this was great advice and I am glad I took it because this elevator pitch in my opinion is better than the first two.
Kendall, I could tell you were more at ease in this third elevator pitch and found your presentation engaging with your added movement and hand gestures. I have loved this concept from the beginning and you have developed it very well and explained it thoroughly in your pitch. You continue to demonstrate confidence and prove to be very professional and well prepared!
ReplyDeleteKendall,
ReplyDeleteGreat work! The framing was perfect, so we were able to clearly see your face and get your body language. Additionally, you knew exactly what you wanted to say and were calm and clear while saying it! That gave me the sense that you were secure and fully qualified to be speaking on the trade industries in the U.F. I’m really blown away you were nervous your first two takes! You seemed so comfortable and in command on video!
Kendall,
ReplyDeleteGood job with your pitch! You look and sounded professional and articulate. Your informative was communicated and received very well. You appear to have an easier time with these pitches as we move through the semester, and it’s great that you are getting more comfortable doing them. Backing from the camera for visibility of your hand movements was good advice because it helps the viewer be more receptive to your information than if stiff and standing still.
